3 Custom Color Cosmetics- Seychelles Collection

Like warm sandy beaches and lush tropical flora, the Seychelles spring collection from Three Custom Color evokes images of lands both exotic and far away. Inspired by Chad Hayduk’s (Makeup Artist and Co-founder of Three Custom Color) trip to the Seychelles islands, this miniature color story offers up a little taste of paradise.

Coco De Mer Eye Shadow ($22.50) is a cool, medium brown with a noticeable golden green shimmer. Inspired by a rare nut that grows only in the forests of the Seychelles, Coco De Mer is all kinds of sultry. Not only will it play well with golds, greens, and browns, but it will also look fantastic on its own for smoky eye looks. Pigmentation is excellent, and the feel of this shadow is satiny smooth.

Frangipani Sheer Lipstick ($21.50) is a bright fuchsia pink with subtle gold pearl. The beautiful thing about this lipstick is that it offers buildable coverage and can be worn as a barely there stain to a full on hot pink. I love the versatility I get with this color, and have been rocking the hot pink loud and proud for the past week. I absolutely love how smooth this lipstick feels on too.

Peacock Flower Lip Gloss ($21.50) is a peachy pink with subtle violet pearl. Peacock Flower Gloss is inspired by a rare and dazzling tropical flower that calls the Seychelles home.

Here are some swatches, so you can have a better feel for the collection

*Coco De Mer on Left, Frangipani on right

*A light application of Frangipani on lips.

All in all, I find this mini collection to be absolutely stunning! Both product and pigmentation is superb.

Urban Decay Summer 2009

New Additions to the UD line!

Because I am a giver, I bring you the latest and greatest, swatches of all the new goodies Urban Decay has for us this summer.

Top Row L-R: Liquid Liner in Minx, Eyeshadow in Minx, Eyeshadow in Ecstasy, Liquid liner in Ecstasy.
Bottom Row: Get Baked Palette- Twice Baked, Half Baked, Flipside, Baked

Its hard to tell, but that luminescent golden spot on my hand is actually the new Midnight Cowboy body shimmer lotion. It smells of coconuts, and leaves a light gold luminescence wherever it is applied. Very sexy ;)

All in all these are some fantastic new additions to the line. I love how bold and vibrants the colors are, and you all know in general that I love me some Urban Decay.

Have you all had the chance to check out UD summer? If so, what are you lemming?

Your Skin Needs This- Korres Quince Body Butter

When I saw that Korres was going to be at the Makeup Show NYC, I swear I was thanking my lucky stars. I have heard so much about the Grecian Beauty Brand touted far and wide as the all natural wonder of the skincare realm.

My eyes immediately lit up upon discovering the Quince Body Butter, one of their top-sellers. I have to be completely honest, it was the scent that drew me in at first. Growing up, my mother used to always make Quince compotes, and this reminds me of that. Sweet, fruity, and just a hint of spice. The scent isn't overpowering like some fruity lotions tend to be.

Being prone to eczema, my skin has the tendency to run drier than the Sahara dessert at times. That also means that since it is slightly more sensitive, I have to be careful of the products I shmear all over myself. With Korres I am worry free. After allowing my skin to drink this up, my skin was super soft and not at all greasy. No breakouts, no itching, and no slip sliding all over the place.

I have been using this religiously for the past week, and it has definitely earned its spot on my dresser.

This stuff is thick, almost always a surefire way to tell that its good!

I think I have just discovered the holy grail of body butters, and I couldn't be happier! Now to hunt down more scents!

Get your natural on by visiting the Korres Sephora Portal here

Oh, and next on the agenda? Korres color cosmetics. Review coming up shortly

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars. OTT in an awesome kind of way

I was fortunate enough to scope out Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics at the Makeup Show last week. Those of you that know me and read my blog know that I LOVE color, LOVE IT! I don't like sheer, dainty, or natural. I am a huge fan of colors that reach out and grab you, pull you in and don't let go.

I am not going to beat around the bush, These are, in a word, AMAZING! The lip tars go on shiny and smooth, but dry down to a creamy matte finish. They are not drying, and a little bit goes a really long way. The beauty of these babies is that they are meant to be mixed, to create a whole rainbow of colors. You can go from dramatic to demure, and all it takes is a drop of gloss. I cannot even begin to tell you all how much I love these.

Oh, and did I mention this line is 100% vegan? You gotta love that.

Swatches:
L-R, Top to bottom:

Traffic, Uber, NSFW, Katricia, Tarred
Pageant, Melange, Grandma, Rx, Feathered, Safety Orange

My experiment with mixing Pageant with Katricia led to this beautiful color:
If you haven't tried Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars yet, you need to. I'm not even kidding, head on over right now and order. You will not regret it.

Get your OCC right here

And for those of you looking for an even greater OCC fix, stay tuned for my review on their amazing nailpolishes, shadows, and glitters.

Stila Summer 2009- Of Smokey Golds and Bright Pink Lips

OK, so technically this isn't available on Stila's site yet, but what better way to whet your appetite than by feasting your eyes on the Stila Indian Summer Collection for 2009.

Made up of a quad, 3 glosses, bronzer, and a new limited edition smudge pot in 24 k (black with gold flecks), this collection brings to mind images of exotic India.

I was lucky enough to get a hold of 3 items from the collection at the Makeup Show.

Brilliant Pink Lipgloss comes housed in the famous Stila clicky tube. It is a cool, bright pink with noticeable gold flecks. This gloss is beautiful down to the little bindi jewel that adorns its packaging.

The 24 K loose mineral bronzer is a warm golden brown with subtle glitter. The packaging on this is fantastic, as you can twist the top to close the sifter and prevent spillage

Now the real star of this collection is the 24K smudge pot. I am a huge fan of the smoky eye, and this baby right here brings you instant bedroom eyes with sexy gold glitters. Think Mac's Black Ore Solar Bits but not as messy and with the ability to be sheered down or used as liner.

Swatches, cause I know you want 'em!

24K Smudge Pot
Smudge Pot & Brilliant Pink Lipgloss

Smudge Pot, Gloss and Bronzer
And this is me, channeling my Summer Indian Vibe wearing the bronzer, gloss and smudge pot
Stila Indian Summer should be coming to a Stila counter near you very soon.

I definitely give it a big thumbs up!

MAC News for Fall 2009

*Thats me calling my friends in high places (or am I?)

Just a few little snippets for my readers of things I have found out in the past few days regarding whats in store for MAC. Some of it is probably old news, but I figured I would share anyway because sharing is caring! :-D

About the Naked Honey Collection: The stars of this collection are going to be the skincare products. Otherwise this collection has a pretty neutral kind of vibe. Everyone that I have spoken with cannot stop raving about the Honey Salve.

I had previously heard rumors of there being an upcoming Icon Collection slated for late this year/early 2010 with Aretha Franklin as the Icon. It seems that isn't going to be happening after all. The Icon collections just aren't as popular as MAC would like I suppose.

The Cult of Cherry Follower collection this year (around August 2007)will not be as big as Cult of Cherry in terms of size. Colors and actual products are not confirmed, but I have heard we will only be seeing 2 quads instead of 3.

Now this is the bit I am most excited about. We are in fact confirmed to be due for an All Black collection coming up this fall. We won't be seeing quads, but what we will be seeing are individual eyeshadows, pencils, loose eye products (potentially black ore solar bits), and a black satin lipstick. A lot of these products contain carbon in them, for super dramatic smoky eyes. And of course I am super curious about the black lipstick and gloss as we have seen this before but not from MAC. Can't wait to hear more about this one.

And that is all the news I have today.

MAC Style Warriors- Unleash your Fierce Side. Review & Swatches!

MAC has officially released Style Warriors in all freestanding stores today, and this blogger is very excited.

Housed in sexy animal print, Style Warriors is one hot collection!
The colors rock, and the products this time around are spot on! Items I purchased are in bold.

Lipsticks:

Sunsational - A very sheer orangey gold. I definitely saw the peach/orange in this one

Brave New Bronze
- A peachy nude with a hint of brown and gold.

Purple Rite - Mauvey pink, I definitely think this one ran more frost than lustre (for those who were curious)

Tribalist - deeeeep shade of raspberry, almost black. Definitely reminds me of the COC colors, but not matte!

Lipglasses

Liberated - Straight up sheer gold. Not exceptional on its own, should
probably be layered for best results.

Gold Rebel - Orangey gold/copper. Would compliment Brave new bronze rather well to warm it up.

Fierce & Fabulous - This one is your run of the mill bright pink/purple. Pretty dupable imo.

Style Warrior - Reminded me a bit of liquer from COC but with more red in it.

Eyeshadows:

Soft Force - Frosty creamy gold.

Bright Future
- Like a slightly toned down chrome yellow with frost

Tempting - Warm chocolaty brown

Vibrant Grape - Bright purple with pink/red tones to it

Night Manoeuvers - Deep blacked brown. Ho Hum!

Beauty Powder Blushes:

Eversun - Peachy Bronze with hints of orange/yellow.

On A Mission
- I am in LOVE with this color on my NW15/20 self. It is a beautiful warm raspberry, but versatile enough to be a color chameleon when mixed with the lustre drops. Everyone, fair and dark neeeeeds this color! I even have a pic i took with one cheek layered with pink rebel, the other with sun rush. GORGEOUS (and i am not a cheek girl)!

Bits of the Solar Variety

Scatterrays - Chunky warm peach with strong gold tones.

Bronzescape - Darkened brown/bronze

Impassioned
- Cool taupey dark brown. The texture on this is silky silky smooth

Polishes:

Peaceable - Golden creamy beige

Violet Fire - Bright purple

Mercenary - Deep dark bronze

Bronzing Powders:

Solar Riche Bronzer, nothing remarkable. Orange undertones
Refined Golden Cool golden brown

Lustre Drops aka love in an itty bitty bottle

In general, I found these to be pretty awesome. They are like glimmershimmers in that they add luminscence to the skin. Unlike glimmershimmers, these dont have chunky shimmer. These can be sheered out as much as you want, and can mix them into into your foundation. A little goes a long way which is always a good thing

Pink Rebel - Cool blue/pink with noticeable gold pearl. Great for us fair folk

Sun Rush
- Light warm peachy gold, stunning!

Bronze Hero - Dark bronze with noticeable gold/orange pearl.

Swa Swa Swatch Time!

And finally, a mini fotd wearing on a mission, brave new bronze, sun rush on my left cheek, pink rebel on my right cheek
