Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 4 saw a brand new addition, the designs of Vassilios Kostetsos. With a huge following in Greece already, Kostetsos brought the audience at fashion week here in NYC to his home isle, for fashions inspired by Greek architectural sculpture.
With such an impressive line, the makeup of course had to match. Team Mehron stepped up to the plate, to transform models into modern day bronzed Greek Gods and Goddesses. Led by head Mehron artist Raedawn J, the makeup team took models to Greece with intense bronze eyes and dewy, bronzed skin.
Raedawn was kind enough to share the details on how she achieved the look.
The look began with beautiful, flawless skin. For models, Raedawn used foundation, sheered out with moisturizer for a dewy effect. To apply, a moistened BeautyBlender sponge was used. The look's focus was all on intense eyes, and to achieve the bronzed smoky look a mixture of Mehron e.y.e cream in gold, Mehron metallic pigment in bronze, and a Mehron 8 color eyeshadow palette was used. Brown mascara was then smudged into lashes, and a soft gold under the brows provided highlights. To finish the look, brows were defined using a brow pencil and angled brow brush. Strong, thick brows were the perfect compliment to the intense smoky eye.
Skin was finished off with contouring, highlighting, and lots of bronzer. Mehron Bronze Aura gave the model's skin the perfect golden glow. Lips and cheeks were a soft glowing pink, to contrast to the intense eyes and bronzed skin.
Voila, the finished look:
The hair, led by the team at Mizu salon in NYC, created a ballerina bun with a slight pomp in the front. The hair is pulled back to draw attention to the sharp lines of the clothing.
Last but not least, the male models need not be left out from the primping fun. They got the bronze treatment as well, with strong brows to match.
All in all, I must say that I am absolutely loving the look that the Mehron team created. Model Julie, who has walked in many shows this season sheepishly admitted that this has been her favorite look thus far. "I wore it out after the test", she admitted.
I had such a blast with the Mehron team, and had to snap a pic with the gorgeous and ultra talented Raedawn.
What do you all think of the look for Vassilios Kostetsos?
