Random Acts of Swatching: Bobbi Brown Brights Palette

Not too long ago, I highlighted a lovely little palette that happens to feature brilliant hues from all across the spectrum, in miniature! Bobbi Brown’s Brights is the perfect palette for introducing bright pops of playful color into your beauty repertoire. Much like your feisty grandmother, Brights has a vivid personality in a teeny tiny package. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly ordinary plain exterior, for the interior is anything but.

Swatched! Left to right, top to bottom

Periwinkle, Blue Iris, Ultra Violet, Orchid, Mulberry, Honey Bell, Nugget, Buttercup, Maize, Day Glow
Royal Blue, Electric Blue, Cornflower, Wisteria, Bluebell, Watermelon, Sherbet, Samba, Coral, Peach
Pacific, Breeze, Blue Denim, Ocean, Cloud Blue, Electric Pink, Gum Drop, Bubblegum, Pink, Flamingo
Macha Green, Shamrock, Jade, Eucalyptus, Sea Foam

The Cools

The Warms:

As you can see, Brights brings an abundance of color, and packs some phenomenal cosmic color in an itty bitty little space. If you can still get your hands on Bobbi Brown’s Brights, please do!

Beauty Obsessions- Ellis Faas Cosmetics

Beauties, my heart has been captured by Ellis Faas. From the very moment I observed the shiny new line featured quite conspicuously on a fellow beauty bloggers site a few months back, these bullets of beauty went straight through my skull, burying themselves deep into my beauty psyche. It was a cosmetic obsession waiting to happen.

Faux Glow, The Drugstore Way with Physicians Formula

Now that summer is in full swing, it is safe to say that I am looking to abandon those dreadful adjectives that have become a typical part of my self-descriptive vernacular. When it comes to describing my complexion, pale, pasty, and porcelain are the buzzwords to beat. Determined to reverse my unsavory pallor, I have decided to investigate the Physician’s Formula bronzer situation. New for the summer are some charming options that both delight with their amazing performance, and enchant with their marvelous packaging.

Mehron is a brand that wows me every single year at The Makeup Show, and for many reasons. While the Mehron booth is the site for some of the finest body painting at the show, the products deserve their very own spotlight as well. I have already waxed poetic about my love for the Metal Powders (which I use ALL the time) and Paradise Aqua Colors, so let’s go ahead and continue down the Mehron path to explore a couple more K.B favorites.

The Body Shop Cosmetics

For a full range of smoky fall color goodness, let me take you to The Body Shop.

I am a huge fan of The Body Shop, she said as she reached for the handy tub of coconut body butter on her desk. Yep, that’s me. When I think of the Body Shop, the scent of tropical coconuts and ripe, luscious mangoes immediately come to mind. Passing by the store near work always elicits a deep breath and a sigh on my end, being that I am well immersed-in and acquainted-with the stellar bath and body line.

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Waterproof

The official mascara of mermaids, beach babes, and summer lovers at large, say hello to the newest incarnation of Givenchy's iconic Phenomen'eyes in Turquoise.

Upon first glance, the brush on this mascara is pretty darned scary, as a certain medieval weapon comes to mind. The spherical brush is designed to grab every single lash and hit it from all angles, resulting in lush, gorgeously curled and separated lashes. Essentially, this mascara is intended to fan out the lashes, and open your eyes up really wide. The turquoise is the perfect fit for summer sunshine, and the waterproof formula ensures your mascara won't flake or melt.

Krasey Questions- Too Many Products

I am a product junkie, of this fact I make no mistake. What I am not as quick to realize is just how many products I am willing to shmear on my face in order to get what I deem to be the perfect look. Take for example the expansive array of products I utilized this past weekend for a.single.look :

This brings me to my question. What is the most product you have used in any given go?

The MBT sneaker is kind of, sort of, rocking my world.

There is a certain beauty in invention, especially when science gives us the tools that will help us achieve our goals in the least painful way possible. MBT shoes are the newest weapon in the war against cellulite and flabbiness. They are the pioneers in the world of fitness footwear, the first ones to create a sneaker that tones your butt and thighs as you go about your business walking to and fro.
