Those of you following me on twitter know, there was a minor setback in me getting to the BCBG backstage show first thing in the morning. Thankfully, the crisis was averted and I was granted backstage access. Of course I won't leave you in suspense either, here are all the juicy details from backstage and on.
MAC did the makeup, and MAC's very own superstar, Gordon Espinet was on hand to talk about the look of BCBG runway.
The makeup is all about the girls. It is a very young, fresh, and effortless kind of beauty, with just a hint of concealer and dramatic lashes.
Gordon's secret? MAC Zoomlash, applied with the 205 fan brush, to take lashes to new heights. The focus was all on the models and the clothes, and not on distracting, avant garde makeup.
The fun doesn't end there. I was fortunate enough to watch the runway show too. Here are the trends for BCBG runway fashion.
Mesh insets, whether it be in overlays on jewel toned dresses, or stitched right into the bodice of the array of knee length dresses, are all over the BCBG runway.
Asymmetrical and one shoulder styles are still hot, hot, hot. There is nothing sexier than exposed shoulder, just one.
The color palette is all over, with everything from pure white, to brilliant jewel tones, with very little black in sight.
What do you think, could I walk the runway?
