Holiday Beauty- Paint Thy Nails Matte with Zoya Matte Velvet Polish The Winter Edition

Permission to put on the fangirl hat? Dear readers, somehow I am even more 'matte' about Zoya after this latest installment of Matte Velvet nail lacquers. In vampy shades for the season, Zoya has your digits outfitted in lush colors all winter long.

I won't regale you all with more photos of the polish fairies, as they weren't ready for another photo opportunity in time for this post. On to the polishes!

Veruschka- A rich hunter green, Veruschka conjures up images of fir trees and forests. The shade is absolutely luxurious, and makes me fall in love a little more with it each and every time I look at it.

Harlow-A medium raspberry pink shade, Harlow reminds me of this delicious raspberry sauce I once made to go with some yummy Thanksgiving turkey. While the dominant tone in this is magenta pink, there is enough purple in it to lend the polish fuschia tones in the sunlight.

Savita- A deep purple with strong pink tones. I really do love how the Zoya mattes bring dimension to typically flat colors with a subtle duochrome effectt. Depending on the way the light hits it, Savita has the ability to tranform from purple, to violet, to deep fuschia.  Gorgeous color, and definitely my favorite of the bunch. Not shocking, since I am such a purple/pink fangirl.

I found the winter mattes right on par with the summer mattes in terms of formulation. These polishes apply smoothly, and dry very quickly. Three thin coats are ideal. I found the polish will wear well for about 4-5 days, which is a typical run time for matte polishes. One thing to keep in mind is that matte polishes do not get the topcoat treatment, as that ruin the velvet effect. Also note that with wear, a slight sheen will appear as your nails come into contact with lotions and soaps and other products that contain shine producing oils.

For a change from the blinginess of the season, look no further than to Zoya's newest matte lacquers. These latest shades are sure to induce serious nail envy.

*The polishes in this post were provided as samples by Zoya PR for post consideration. Rest assured that the opinions expressed in this review are 100% honest If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at KraseyBeauty@gmail.com
