Thierry Mugler Beauty Wants You to Gloss Your Lashes with Cils Vinyle

The last item in my Thierry Mugler mini-series was also the last item I finally decided on during that fateful day of beauty shopping at The Bay. I was obviously on the search for all things new and unusual, and since I had room for one more I wanted to go with at least one eye product. In the end, Cils Vinyle it was. I think it was the gloss for my lashes part that drew me in.

A product designed to give lashes a wet look, Vinyle comes in the same packaging as my beloved glosses, and a brush to "paint" that black stuff onto your fluttering fringe.

Vinyle is by no means a traditional mascara, as it is not designed to lengthen, curl, separate, or darken your fringe. Instead, it is meant to be used as a mascara topcoat, effectively 'glossing' already mascara'ed lashes, making them appear shiny. The effects are subtle, but can go a long way in topping off an already killer smoky eye. Oh, and correct me if I am wrong, but no other brand has anything even remotely like this.

Please take note, using this product does take some getting used to. The trick is to not have a heavy hand, as this can easily clump up your lashes if you aren't careful. Also, the formula is rather wet so you need to let it dry. Oh, and for the love of makeup, stay away from your eye. I learned the hard way, that if you accidentally poke yourself with this that it will burn. Tricky application aside, I think the product is pretty neat.

The pictures, Cils Vinyle applied on mascara-less lashes. The light has to hit it just so for you to really see the glossy effect. When it does though, love.

While I do realize that this product might be a bit gimmicky to some, I like it on those evenings where I really want to punch up my eye look. In short, the Thierry Mugler beauty line has captured my heart, my experience with my purchases only cementing my opinions and making me want to buy even more.

After this mini-series, what do you all think about the brand? What about the product, would you gloss your lashes?

I really love the sound of this, so unique and original! From what you've shown i think this is a really amazing brand, not afraid to push the envelope and try something new. And the packaging is just fabulous! When i have the money i'm definately gong to purchase something.

I like the concept of shiny lashes but the application looks to be like it would tend to be clumpy.

I'm not sure I would purchase this but thank you so much for reviewing it!

Lillian, you definitely need to explore this brand. It is out of this world, that is for certain
