Zoom into Outer Space with Girlactik Beauty

In my never-ending quest to find new and exciting brands to talk about, I sometimes come across brands that not only bring us a great range of products, but also bring their a-game when it comes to the cute factor. Beauty-heads, I want to introduce you all to the awesomeness that is the Girlactik beauty line.

Kind of off-topic, but with a name like Girlactik, I am suddenly taken back with memories of a certain Disney Channel movie. . That is a bit of nostalgia for all you fellow Disney kids out there.

"Visions of your pretty face, Send me into hyperspace, Could you be my supernova girl?"

Anywho, Girlactik is a recent beauty discovery that I am absolutely loving. With great products, a fun concept, and attractive packaging, these products have passed all of my personal tests with flying colors (haha, get it?!).

Let's start with the lipgloss in Just Nude, shall we? Housed in a clear tube with a doe-foot applicator, Just Nude is an opaque, creamy shade of beige. The perfect nude gloss, I found it to be a wee bit sticky, which meant that it stayed on all day and provided enough opacity for me to wear it sans lipstick. These reminded me a bit of Mac lipgloss in terms of consistency, only without the drying I sometimes get with lipglasses.

The Black liner- Fairly in-tune with your typical khol pencil, this black automatic liner pencil comes conveniently shaped at an angle, making it perfect for a winged out cat eye look. In terms of wear, I found this wore well on my waterline for about 5-6 hours, after which it did fade a little. Much like a khol, these liners have some smudge to them, making them great for smoky eyes too.

Night Eye Glaze- An amazing base for eyeshadows, this cream eyeshadow applies with a doe foot applicator, and gives opaque, all day color without creasing. Night is is gorgeous gunmetal shade that looks divine under a smoky eyeshadow. Worn on its own, this cream lasted all day on me, and looked deliciously inky all by itself. If you are a fan of Urban Decay cream shadows, as I am, you will love this eye glaze.

VIP Eyeshadow- Packaged in sleek chrome casing, this pressed powder eyeshadow is semi-matte, with a very faint sparkle to it. Of medium to intense pigmentation, VIP is a great smoky eye compliment to the Night eye glaze. The shade is a blackened grey.

Naples Blush- If you are a fan of looking like you are glowing from within, you will adore this blush in Naples. I am of a fair complexion, and found this shade to provide just a hint of a peachy pink flush, and an intense (but not over the top) glow that had others comment on how gorgeous my skin looked. The formula on this blush is smooth and powder, with the finish being ultra-luminescent. I am deeply in love with this blush, and have been reaching for it every.single.day.

Sparkle Eyeliner Sets- Sparkle lovers rejoice, for the Sparkle eyeliner sets contain the 2 pieces you need to add intense sparkle to your lids. One part eyeshadow base, and one part microglitter, Gunmetal sparkle set is the perfect bling for a night on the town. One word of advice I would offer up is to do your eyes first, as the glitter can be prone to fallout.

Swatches! L-R, Top to Bottom: Sparkle Liner Powder, Eye Glaze, Black Liner, Eyeshadow in VIP, Lipgloss in Blush in

All in all, I would definitely say that Girlactik beauty is an "Interplanetary, Megastellar, Hydrostatic" hit. I've been using their eyeshadow for about a year and I love it. My favorite shade is Timeless. So smooth and pigmented. But nobody seems to know about the brand and I guess it can be a little hard to find. Anyways, thanks for the review and I'm really happy for the discount :D

I'm really fair too and really loving the look of the blush as much as you are! :-) It looks really pretty, and I'm also really loving that gunmetal glitter (actually love the chrome/gunmetal packaging on everything:-). I was a bit disappointed that you couldn't see that much sparkle in the eye shadow (I'm a big sparkle fan:-), and initially I wondered how much sparkle/shimmer was in the lip gloss but fortunately in the swatch photo it looked like there was some in there. :-) Thanks for formatting the photos so that we can click for nice close ups! Thanks for fantastical review :-)

Bonnie, I am thrilled to hear that you are liking the photos. I go through a lot of trouble to get my swatches to look just so.

That said, i think there is plenty of shimmer in various items in the line. I went for smoky, but there are lots of sparkling shades to be found too. :)
