Let's get started with BCBG Fall 2010
Nails by Roxanne Valinoti of CND (Creative Nail Design)
The nail look for BCBG was described as a fresh, futuristic neutral, and was achieved by using CND's Putty satin nail polish. Putty is a warm, sheer neutral, and as Roxanne puts it, "like tinted moisturizer for the nails". The overall effect is sheer, simple, and very clean.
The hair team, led by Harry Josh, created a contemporary, sleek, and modern hairstyle using John Frieda's signature products. The look was clean, comfortable, and effortlessly chic with finger backcombed hair into a low twisted bun with fanned out fringe. To get the look, Josh used John Frieda's Take Charge Mousse, and Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion (phew, what a mouthful!).
Makeup by Sarah Lucero for Stila Cosmetics
Led by Sarah Lucero of Stila Cosmetics, the makeup team achieved a monochromatic beige look that was both clean and effortless. The new One Step Makeup (review coming soon!) was used to create an even, smooth, and flawless surface on all models. Followed up with Chinois Puppy/Dune eyeshadow, In the Nude Longwear Lipcolor, and brown Major Lash Mascara, the look was complete.
On another note, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the gorgeous, amazing, absolutely fabulous Jan Arnold, founder of CND. If you aren't following her fashion week blog, get on that now. This woman is glam chic personified, with the insight on fashion right at her impeccably polished fingertips.
The fun doesn't end here folks, stay tuned for more backstage!
