MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection- The Quads

MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection

So it has been quite some time since I have ventured down MAC road to bring you the latest and greatest from one of my first makeup obsessions, but all that is about to change. MAC has just launched Spring Color Forecast, and within that lies four separate color collections with makeup items to fulfill any cravings you must have. Of course I partook in a bit of spring haulage, and of course I will share some pictures, swatches, and my overall thoughts on this collection. Getting the party started are the 2 quads that I picked up, in addition to Rosy Outlook single eyeshadow.

For pics and swatches, read on!
Quad Colour 4:

Left to right, top to bottom we have Manila Paper, Flip, Aztec Brick, and Creole Beauty. Manila Paper and Aztec Brick are our beloved Veluxe Pearl finish, while Flip and Creole Beauty are both smooth, silky decadent frosts.

Originally, I found myself rather bored with this quad on first glance. However, after forcing myself to give it a second look and really take the time to swatch the colors, I was immediately impressed with how vibrant, buttery, and silky smooth each and every single color in this quad was. Manila Paper is a white gold, and a dupe for Nylon. Flip is a soft yellow gold that we have seen before in the Blonde Brunette Redhead collection. Aztec Brick swatches smooth and silky, and can be considered a more golden version of Amber Lights. Creole Beauty is a soft brown gold, and rounds off the quad quite well.

Quad Colour 3- The Plums
Mink Pink, Bruised Plum, Black Tulip and Jungle Moon make up quad colour 3. The textures are Veluxe, Veluxe Pearl, Frost, and Matte.

I make no secret of the fact that I am HUGE on the purples and plums, so for that reason I felt obligated to get this quad. While not overly unique, I feel like quad 3 has a good array of colors with pretty decent textures. Only Jungle Moon gives me some issues, in typical MAC matte fashion

While I didn't find myself too excited over any one of the singular eyeshadows sold as part of Colour Collections 1 and 2, Rosy Outlook did catch my eye enough for me to partake. A soft powder pink, the texture on this reminds me of my beloved matte^2, even though the label says Satin.

Who else loved the quads? Any particular shadows catch your eye?

Stay tuned for part 2 of my haul/review, Crush Metal Pigment and Ombre Blush. Youtube video is in the works as well.

Yay I am glad to see you reviewing MAC collections again hun! :)
The purple and neutral quads and the Ripe Peach blush ombre are on my lemming list but some rude little nail polishes have eaten the MAC budget. :D

I got the purple quad too and I love it. Purple makes the gold flecks in my eyes pop so I'm always drawn to purples
