Epic Dining Destinations- Country Pancake House in Ridgewood New Jersey

Ladies and Gents of the blogosphere, I have discovered gourmet gold in the unlikeliest of places: New Jersey. The story goes a little something like this:

Boyfriend (BF) comes over to spend some quality time with his still ailing girlfriend (GF)
BF and GF ponder their Saturday afternoon entertainment possibilities
GF reminds BF about that special they saw on the Travel Channel about restaurants they need to visit
GF convinces BF that Saturday is a good day for pancakes
and away they go

It was a Saturday afternoon like any other, in which my boyfriend and I explored the state next door. A trip to the mall left me with two gorgeous new Chanel Rouge Coco's (more on that in a bit), a few new items of clothing (shhh, don't tell), and a monster appetite for something delicious. Our appetites led me (and him) to the Country Pancake House in Ridgewood NJ, a culinary house of epic proportions (and portions).

Read on, take the jump!

Innocuous enough on the outside, a closer inspection shows article after article, Zagat Rated Plaque after Zagat Rated Plaque

The menu is HUGE, and boasts over 90 varieties of Pancakes, nearly 50 omelettes, 50 varieties of waffles, and well... you get the idea.

I ordered a Grilled Chicken, Mushroom, Onion and Cream Cheese Frittata, with Banana Blueberry Pancakes. Shocked was I when a platter the size of my torso arrived, with complimentary cornbread.

A close up of my humongous platter

My boyfriend's platter: Red White and Blue Pancakes (Banana, Strawberry, Blueberry) with a Genoa Omelette and Home Fries

The meal was overwhelmingly delicious, and my boyfriend and I happily dug into our breakfasts turned dinners. Unfortunately, our eyes were definitely much bigger than our heads. I barely finished half!

Even more shocking, my boyfriend couldn't finish half of his meal! Wow.

High and giddy after so much gut-busting deliciousness, we were shocked at the puny pricetag for the meal, which was only $24! Needless to say, my boyfriend and I now have a new favorite spot, in Ridgewood New Jersey of all places.

For all of my locals looking for delicious food, mammoth sized portions, and great value, run (don't walk!) to the Country Pancake House in Ridgewood New Jersey. I promise you, this place brings the epic noms.

Do they have any other locations elsewhere in the country? :-)

I just have to say, that while I think you always look gorgeous and do such a fabulous job all the time with your make up and nails (and do an equally fabulous job documenting your fabulousness with the photos you take) :-), that you look really, really beautiful in the photos above. :-)

Bonnie, I sure do wish they did. I am sure there has to be something similar in your area.

And thank you so much for that comment, you absolutely just made my day! xo
