Stila Spring 2010 Jewel Eye Palette

Now its time for more adventures in Spring makeup, this time with Stila's Jewel Eye Palette.

A brand new addition to the Stila lineup, Jewel Eye is a quad of four shadows that are infused with tons of sparkle and shine. This quad to me is a welcome departure from the typical pastels that we see running rampant during warmer months. These shades have the ability to be layered and used both wet and dry for different effects.

I am not one to normally embrace the glittery eyeshadow, due to the fallout that leaves me looking like I have a black eye. With these four soft shades from Stila, I am happy to report that fallout is minimal, and pigmentation is high. I do prefer to use them wet for maximum drama, but am quite pleased with both the application and the wear.

Swatched, no base used.
Left to Right: Golden Topaz: (champagne shimmer with silver and gold sparkle), Black Diamond: (black with silver sparkle), Amethyst: (grey eggplant with champagne sparkle), Rose Quartz: light pink with silver sparkle

To get your sparkling eye fix, be sure to check out Stila's Jewel Eye Palette. Fans of the glitter can rejoice, for these four shades pack a happy shiny kick that won't leave you looking bruised.

I'm glad you didn't have fallout with these. I used it once using my usual eyeshadow base (MAC Paint) and had major major fall out all over my cheeks. I was so upset as I thought that this was one of the prettiest things I'd seen in a while.

Scarlett, how about using a creamier base? I also recommend pushing the shadow into the lid using a synthetic brush :)
