You may not know this about me, but I have a not-so secret desire to vacation in Hawaii. While I have been to my fair share of tropical locales, there is just something so appealing about Hawaii's scenery, and of course the luaus.
Is it the burly Samoan men, the pulsing sound of drums, and all that spam that has me wishing to go far far west? Nah, I think it's the fact that I would get to rock one kick-butt lei without anyone looking twice.
While my Hawaii trip may only be one that I can take in my head, Givenchy's newest face powders are helping ease my island hunger pangs. Bringing me a taste of Hawaii via gorgeous packaging and soft, subtle glow, Fleur de Frangipanier is love.
There are two versions of the Fleur de Frangipanier powder, and the one you see here is Natural Tan. Inspired by Frangipani flowers, each powder comes in its beautiful compact beautifully imprinted with its namesake. Three shades come swirled and speckled throughout, with a lovely touch of glittering gold at the heart of the flower to brighten the powder's appearance. When swirled together, the individual colors come together in a soft golden peachy bronze that is both subtle and flattering on my incredibly pale skin.
Hidden underneath the powder is a flat brush, perfect for sweeping the powder on the apples of the cheeks for a tanned look. You can also use the brush to contour, so yay for multitaskers!
Each and every Givenchy powder I have ever worked with is smoother than silk, and Fleur is no exception. The powder swatches and glides like butter, with a subtle sheen that is neither glittery nor too satin/matte. The pigments are microfine, and blend into my skin seamlessly rather than just sitting on top of it.
Swatched heavily. Notice the golden sparkle?
Gorgeous in every way, the Givenchy Fleur de Frangipanier palette has me singing to lei all it's powdery love on me. It is currently available on Sephora online.
