Sally Hansen HD Nails

Beauties of the world
Got a story to tell
About one beauty blogger
Coming out of her Shell
She's exploring drugstore beauty one aisle at a time
Charming you all with her funky fresh rhymes.

Okay, so we have established that I do not make a good rapper, and I am okay with that. What I am not okay with is the fact that I have been neglecting the world of beauty as found in the aisles of drugstores and megamarts. I do tend to gravitate towards high-end, but in my efforts to make Krasey Beauty a bit more well-rounded, I want to spotlight those drugstore products I have found to be affordable, effective, and pretty! First up in our journey is a visit with a fan favorite.

Sally Hansen is more than well known in the beauty and nail world, though the brand's nail and beauty offerings are actually a very new discovery for me. At a recent beauty event, I had the opportunity to properly explore the line's stellar offerings. My radar immediately honed itself to these beautiful HD polishes.

Rich in pigment, sparkle, and duo/tri chromatic color, these polishes are something to behold.

Laser

Laser is a rich blue with light blue duochrome. Reminds me of the ocean at night, all rich and a bit inky.

DVD is obviously my favorite of the bunch, and the most unique in my opinion. DVD is an indigo blue that flashes purple, pink, green, and aquamarine. Its like the inside of a shell, if that shell were blue of course.

Hi Def is a metallic green that flashes heavy on the gold. Unlike the other shades I played with, this one has no sparkle. It is a metallic all the way.

Byte was actually the fan favorite when I tweeted a picture of my multicolored mani. Byte is a bright magenta pink with strong blue duochrome sparkle. My kind of color indeed.

All of these polishes applied super smooth, opaque in 2 coats (though I went for three), and with no stress. While they appear all chunky glitter, I promise that its all smooth sailing post top-coat. Sally Hansen polishes are quickly becoming a drugstore favorite of mine, and the HD polishes are most definitely an affordable way to achieve holographic bling. You can find these bad boys at your local drugstore or mega-mart.
