Out of the cosmetic-grade muck, a new series of OCC’s wildly popular lip tars have emerged, much to everyone’s delight. Getting a makeover for spring with soft, demure shades meant to be mixed and matched to perfection, these new shades of lip tar can only be described as covetable. In the name of all that is pigmented in a lip product, I had to claim these three bad boys as my very own.
For those of you who may have been living under a small rock, lip tars are a liquid lipstick designed to be completely customizable and long-wearing. What started as a collection of core primary colors has quickly expanded into a full scale line of 24 larger than life shades. These tars go on fully opaque with just the tiniest amount, and dry down to a semi-matte.
Lip Tars carry the scent and slight taste of peppermint, thanks to the oil being one of the ingredients. They are also of a lower viscosity than your typical gloss, so you will have to be careful not to squeeze too much out of the small tube.
Swatched: Hush, Vapid, Complex, Grandma
Custom Blended Shades: Top left is Vapid and Complex, Bottom left is Hush and Complex, right is
Grandma + Complex. Pretty nifty how we can make a myriad of shades, just by altering color amounts.

Tar has never look looked this good. If ever there was an occasion for you to jump in the pit and get down and dirty, now is that time. Visit the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics site to get in on the fun.
