Get The Look- Christina Applegate by Clarins and Physicians Formula

Ms Applegate looked absolutely stunning at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night. Physicians Formula’s celebrity makeup artist Joanna Schlip was inspired by Christina’s dramatic, navy sweeping gown by designer Basil Soda when creating her show-stopping look. The vintage glamour of the navy stunner called for simple makeup that still made a statement.

With her hair pulled back in a chic chignon, Joanna was able to play up Christina’s eyes with a sexy retro smolder, while keeping her skin fresh and lips softly pink. Like the dress, Christina’s makeup exuded a Brigitte Bardot 60’s cool, with a modern twist.

Skincare: To create a radiant glow, Joanna prepped Christina’s skin with three steps: First she cleansed with Clarins Water Comfort One Step Cleanser. She then applied Clarins Multi-Active Day Moisturizer, followed with Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for smooth, hydrated, radiant skin.

Face: Since Christina has naturally beautiful skin, Joanna kept her face mostly bare with a light wash of Clarins True Radiance Foundation. She finished with a dusting of Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Face Sculpting Trio in Sunkissed Organics.

Cheeks: For a natural but luminous flush, Joanna applied Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Blush & Highlighter in Sunkissed Glow on the apples of her cheeks, sweeping up to the hairline. The shimmering highlighter reflected the California sunlight on the red carpet, giving a healthy, peachy-pink glow.

Eyes: Joanna reflected the drama of Christina’s dress with a smoldering eye. Using the dark gray shade from Clarins Colour Quartet for Eyes in So Chic, Joanna gave a smoky depth to Christina’s green eyes. To add definition and drama, she applied Physicians Formula Eye Definer Felt-Tip Eye Marker in Ultra Black around the upper and lower lash line and also inside the wet line, then finished with three coats of Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara in Black.

Lips: For a soft, modern pink mouth, Joanna applied Clarins Lip Definer in Bay Rose, and then added a hint of gloss with Physicians Formula Plump Potion Needle-Free Plumping Lipstick in Pink Nude Potion.

Get The Look- Matrix and Mark Townsend Styles January Jones

Mark Townsend, Matrix’s celebrity stylist, helped “Mad Men” star January Jones get glam for the 2009 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 20, 2009.

Inspired by January's detailed Versace gown, Townsend create a structured updo that channeled the lines and cut-outs of the dress. The end result was sexy, sleek, and sophisticated

To achieve January’s glamorous hairstyle, Mark first sprayed Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel in her damp hair and blow dried it with a medium round brush. Then, he took sections of her hair and pulled and pinned them back one at a time. January has shoulder length hair, so he needed to pull the hair back in sections, since it is too short to pull it back all at the same time.

Mark wanted the style to look like a textured chignon, and by pinning sections at the back, he was able to achieve exactly that. He finished the chignon with Vavoom Shape Maker Hairspray to give the style some hold, and purposely let some hair fall loose around the front to catch the light and to give it more of a "fashion" look.

The end result was a perfect compliment to January's gorgeous gown and ethereal makeup. She looks sophisticated, without being too stuffy.

Get The Look- Debra Messing Gets the Lorac Treatment with Carol Shaw

I have always thought that Debra was an absolute stunner, and Carol really enhanced her look with this sultry, smoky eye. This look is dramatic, but not at all over the top.

Get The Look- Oscar Blandi for Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Celebrity stylist, Oscar Blandi created Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ red carpet look last night for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.

Julia's hair was set in a polished, romantic style that was Oscar’s reinterpretation of old Hollywood glamour. Additionally, Oscar Blandi and his team from the Oscar Blandi Salon were at the HBO Emmy Party providing guests with star styling services at an on-site Oscar Blandi Touch Up Lounge.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

STEP 1: Prep damp hair with Oscar Blandi Jasmine Protein Mist.

STEP 2: Apply Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray from roots to ends to add volume.

STEP 3: Apply Oscar Blandi Wave Enhancing Spray from mid-length to ends to create a foundation for natural looking waves.

STEP 4: Blowout hair focusing on lifting the roots for volume, accentuating the natural side part.

STEP 5: Take a 3 inch barrel curling iron and hold it vertically. Starting just above the chin, curl the hair in small sections, keeping the crown smooth so waves cascade around the shoulder.

STEP 6: Finish entire look with Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray for volume and hold.

Get The Look- Elisabeth Moss at The Emmys by Shu Uemura

The Office’s Jenna Fischer and her makeup artist Vanessa Scali designed a look that was easy and sexy: Pale, gold skin and a smoky bronze eye. Here’s how to get the look:

SKIN: I first applied spot foundation only where it was needed using shu uemura’s Nobara Cream Cover Stick Foundation. It gives clean, fresh, flawless coverage. I then used Lancôme's Effecernes in Light Bisque and Blush Subtil in Sheer Amourose. I highlighted her cheek and brow bones with Armani's Fluid Sheer #2. In the T-zone only, I used shu uemura’s Face Powder in Colorless - matte formula.

EYES: For a soft, smoky effect, I used shu uemura’s Pressed Eye Shadow in ME Gold #350 from the lash line to the crease and under the lower lashes. For a bit more depth, I added shu uemura’s ME Brown #855 to the outer corners of the lid. To define and elongate the lash line, I used shu uemura’s Painting Liner in black. I love luxuriously full lashes and gave Jenna's a boost by adding shu uemura’s Flare False Eyelashes in Black followed by a few generous coats of Kiehl’s Marvelous Mineral Mascara in Black.

LIPS: I used shu uemura's Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine in Beige 911.

Elisabeth Moss by Lauren Kaye Cohen for the Emmy’s

Elisabeth Moss looked stunning on the red carpet last night and as she took stage with her fellow cast members to receive the award for “Best Drama”, for “Mad Men”, the hit series in which she stars. Celebrity makeup artist, Lauren Kaye Cohen shares how she created Elisabeth’s ethereal look:

SKIN: To get Elisabeth’s radiant-looking, flawless skin, I began by using a combination of shu uemura’s Face Architect Smoothing Fluid Foundation and the new Nobara Cream Cover Stick Foundation (in areas that needed more coverage) both in shades 784. I applied both foundations with shu uemura’s Natural 18 Goat Brush. I then dabbed a bit of YSL Teint Parfait Complexion Enhancer in 02 Rose Pearl with my fingertips across the tops of her cheekbones. I finished with shu uemura’s Face Powder in Matte 5yr Light, applying it just to the center of the face with shu’s Natural Brush 27.

EYES: For eye shadow, I used YSL Fard Lumière Aquarésistant Cream Eyeshadow in Pink Sands and Copper Brown and then layered Giorgio Armani Maestro Eye Shadow Quads in 02 Floral and 05 Desert with shu uemura Portable Natural Brush 10. I wanted to keep the eyes very clean and really make them all about the lashes, so I applied Lancôme’s new Ôscillation Powerbooster lash primer followed by Ôscillation Mascara in Black, which looked beautiful!

LIPS: For lips, I used shu uemura Lip Drawing Pencil in PK 382 and then combined the Rouge Unlimited OR 531S lipstick with shu’s gorgeous new Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine lipstick in OR 520. I gave this lipstick to Elisabeth for touch-ups throughout the night.
