Kiss and Tell with Purple Labs- A Contest!

Listen up beauties, I am here to bring you a reminder of an AMAZING contest sponsored by Purple Lab.

As you know, Purple Lab is the genius company behind Huge Lips Skinny Hips gloss. There are currently six chic shades of Huge Lips Skinny Hips available.
Each has its own distinct personality, and is inspired by Karen's favorite icons and philosophies. Each one comes with a little love note about the story behind it – from Love Your Thighs (Karen's mantra for all of us girls) to Red Sole (a nod to her fave shoe designer, Christian Louboutin ).

The contest ends this Thursday (the 27th), so you still have time to enter. I would really appreciate it if you could vote for me and tell your friends!

All you have to do is click here ;)

To enter, pick the shade that represents your personality -- vote, review, and share!

The Grand Prize will win a trip to NYC with a friend for a tour of all of Karen's inspirations! Shopping trip to Top Shop for Kate Moss threads anyone? Private pole dancing lessons – it’s really the best exercise on the planet! You & Karen (our Creatrix) will play, have Lychee Martinis (if you’re over 21), and have all kinds of fun surprises!

Good luck beauties! Mwah!

Boston Hauling

My newest obsession this summer is the entire Marc Jacobs line. With that in mind, I knew it was all downhill as soon as I stepped into the Marc Jacobs boutique on Newbury street in downtown Boston.

Introducing, the newest additions to my happy accessory family:

MJ Aidan Bag in Plum- Perfect for fall, and just the right size
and

MJ Oversized Plastic Frames in eyecatching plum. Channeling my inner screen siren.
It is official, and I am in love. Is anyone else digging Marc Jacobs? Any other lines you have recently fallen in love with?

Have It Your Way with Z Palette

Zebra Print Purse by Roberto Cavalli
Zipper Necklace by Van Cleef and Arpel
Clearly, if something starts with a Z it must be awesome by default, right?

Zoot Suit circa 1940
Okay, so that last one maybe that is a bit of a stretch, but I assure you that this 'z' is one you will love.
The Z Palette is a makeup organization system designed to streamline and simplify your makeup routine by offering up the option to combine all of your makeup pans into one slim, sleek, convenient palette.

The brainchild of Emmy Award winning makeup artist and fellow Odessa-mama, Zena Shteysel; these palettes bring convenience to a whole knew level with their simple and efficient concept. Zena knows a thing or two about streamlining a traincase, and having to lug around a rather extensive collection of products (I can relate), she was always looking for ways to organize and consolidate her ever-burgeoning kit. It was the necessity to simplify that brought about the creation of the Z Palette.

Unlike brand-specific palettes, the Z Palette allows you to fit any size pans by offering a magnetic, open palette. There are no size-specific slots or holes for pans, so you can effectively mix pans of all shapes and sizes, from all of your favorite brands. Also, the clear window lets you see exactly whats inside, making finding your products super simple.

Even pans that aren't magnetic are not a problem, as the website also offers up pre-cut magnetic stickers for attaching nonmetal pans to the palette. Organizing and streamlining has never been easier with the Z Palette. It comes in two size options ($20 for large, $14 for small), and is available to order through the website here. What do you folks think, are you down with the convenience of the Z Palette?

Illamasqua Fall/Winter Range- Sneak Peek News!

*UPDATE*

We now have a pre-order date of September 3rd, and a peek at the new Liquid Metal in Phenomena, a metallic silver. Swoon

The gorgeous Alex of Illamasqua has just released some news on the Illamasqua official blog regarding the Fall seasonal collection from Illamasqua that absolutely has me jumping up and down in my (not so) cushy swivel chair.

Announcing 'Dystopia', the new range for autumn/winter. From the sounds of it, its going to be an AMAZING one. With the re-release of liquid metals (in more colors, hooray!), along with some other surprises, this collection sounds like a dramatic makeup lover's (ME!) dream.

I will let Alex take over on the description, so pop on over to the Illamasqua blog to read more about it, then tell me if you aren't as excited as I am to see what this collection holds. WANT...IT...NOW!

Linda Evangelista Goes Glam for V Magazine

“COLOR ME LINDA” by V Magazine

You know that there is nothing I love more than being inspired by elaborate spreads in high fashion magazines. In this coming month's V Magazine, Supermodel Linda Evangelista brings the drama and class to the ever-changing world of high fashion.

No supermodel has had more looks than Linda Evangelista. Here she proves she’s still the reigning queen of chameleons.

Photographed by Sebastian Faena;

Styling by Sofia Achaval (all for V Magazine)

Linda wears Marc Jacobs, Y-3, Chloe, G-Star, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Gucci, Isabel Toledo, etc.

What is your favorite look? For me, the technicolor hair and intense cat eyes are EPIC. Linda definitely does this look right.

V Magazine's 61st Issue goes live on September 1st, so be sure to check out the spread, and the rest of this fabulous magazine, in its entirety. It is a must for fashion/beauty lover.

Amazing Trips, The Boston Addition

Those of you that are following me on Twitter know, I took a trip to Boston with my fellow beauty blogger and kindred spirit, Amy of The Beauty Chick.

I will put up a few more posts with details on the trip in the coming week (fotds, ootds, and haul), but for now, I will leave you with a few of my favorite photos from the trip. Yes, I did take a lot of pictures. I cannot hide the fact that I love to be snapped on camera, I can't help it!

On the bus ride down to Boston. Virtually no AC made us very cranky indeed. Nevertheless, with a full trip ahead we were all smiles

Right before out first night out, I love how the gold cast to the photo makes for an ethereal glow

Yum Yum time, rocking my lobster bib proudly!

How this beauty bunny unwinds after a long day of travel

I call this Southern Belle misplaced

At the end of an amazing trip, exhausted but oh so happy. Boston was amazing, and I can't wait to go back. :)
