Holiday Beauty- NARS Holiday Color Collection

When I first saw the NARS holiday collection at the SAKS NARS event, I knew that the collection and I would be fast friends.

The color palette is done in dramatic shades of burgundy, black, and purple, with a bit of opalescence thrown into the mix. This collection has something for everyone, and everything for me! I hauled practically the whole collection during the various Friends and Family events last week, naturally.

Enough chit chat, lets get on with the photo-fest.

Multiple in Luxor, an opalescant pink pearl. Perfect for highlighting under the browbone, and cheekbones.

Eyeshadow Duo in Eurydice- Blue tinged bordeaux and silver infused deep black. Perfect for sultry, smoky, holiday eyes.

New Soft Touch Shadow Pencils in Goddess (Cool, Pink Champagne), Aigle Noir (deep black infused with gold sparkle and a green pearl), and Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in Toudra (Deep wine with strong brown tones).

Swatches: L-R Top To bottom Toundra, Aigle Noir, Goddess
Tonga Lip Pencil, Luxor Multiple
Iceland Duo on Left, Eurydice on Right

NARS holiday is available on the NARS website. It is a stunning collection in its entirety, with amazing colors and exciting new products.

I've purchased Aigle Noir but I'm still not convinced about it. The colour is gorgeous, but the staying power not so much, but probably I haven't applied it correctly. Do you use it as a base for powder eyeshadows or alone?

Superqueen, I understand what you are saying. It helps to put a layer of dryer base (udpp, painterly paint pot) and a thin layer of aigle noir. It shouldn't budge that way.

Oh, thanks for the tip. I'll surely try it.

Superqueen, no problem! Good luck :)
