Nail Experiments- Essie for Rock & Republic Clearly Matte Topcoat

My newest nail obsession comes in the form of a matte topcoat by Essie for Rock and Republic. Ever since I discovered the transforming properties of mattifying nails, I have been taking this amazing topcoat to all of my polishes.

China Glaze's Peachy Keen Mattified

L-R Lippmann Collection Happy Birthday (guess you can't mattify confetti, huh?), Jessica Nails Grecian Touch, Jessica Nails Royal Red, Jessica Nails Shall We Dance

In case you are wondering what I am wearing right this second, this is Zoya's Happi Mattified

I feel like a kid who has just gotten a shiny new bedazzler, taking this topcoat to each and every polish I have swatched recently. You can find Rock and Republic's limited edition topcoat on their website, or you can find Essie's original Matte About You everywhere the brand is sold. If you are looking to change up the look of some of your favorite polishes, this is the way to do it. Up next will be Zoya's Reverie, the matte edition. Duochromes always make the most amazing mattes in my opinion, and I cannot wait to see what the outcome will be.

I use China Glaze Matte Magic but I definitely prefer shimmer or duochrome polishes as mattes. They have a little something extra that makes them look so gorgeous!

Blueyez, I completely agree with you. Love to play with different polish looks too!
