Art Class is in Session- Greasepaint Sticks

Crayons and markers have nothing on these 'art supplies'. The newest from M∙A∙C Cosmetics, The Art Supplies Collection channels your favorite art class with a range of pen-like products that are meant to bring the pretty, drawing style. One thing is for sure, this collection has this colorful and smoky eye lover dazed, dazzled, and all in a tizzy. The Greasepaint Sticks steal the show, very deserving of their own spotlight.

Originally released with the Style Black Collection last year, the Greasepaint Sticks won the hearts of millions with their creamy and colorful goodness. M∙A∙C has brought back my beloved chubby shadesticks, with eight shade additions that run the range from molten copper to slick leather black. The chubby pencils glide on creamy and pigmented, not budging after the quick dry down. Greasepaints are perfect for thick lining, or as eyeshadow bases.

Zinc Zone is an essential for smoky eyes that don't scream Panda. A cool, deep shade of blue grey that screams grit and city to me for some reason, it can easily be worn on its own for quick and easy bedroom eyes. Alternate names for this shade in my own mind are factory, robot, and smoke.

Greengrease is a blackened hunter green with subtle emerald green sparkle. To me this has forest inspired smoky eyes written all over it.

Below Ground is one of those shades that truly surprised me. I am not one given to random fits of brown, but this brown ran more golden brass, which makes it the perfect addition to my summer metallic makeup artillery.
*Dirty, Zing Zone, Brown, Now, Below Ground, Greengrease

Brown, Now is another shade that fooled me. By name I imagine something very dirt and earth-colored, but Brown, Now is actually a burnt sienna with true red tones to it. This one should have been called Red Earth or Clay, but that's just my opinion.

Dirty is a  a greyed taupe, and the perfect base for a subtle and soft smoky eye look. It is a great shade for those who favor the subtle.

Swatched: L-R Dirty, Zing Zone, Brown, Now, Below Ground, Greengrease

Greasepaint sticks are absolute must haves. While the packaging is meant to bring out the little artist in all of us, these sticks are all very much about grown up smoky eyes. Run. don't walk to grab these beauties at your favorite M∙A∙C.
