The Elixir of (Summer) Life- D&G L'Imperitrice
Fresh and fruity
Flirty and fun
One spritz and you're ready to go
The essence of summer
Rosy love in a bottle
A member of the Dolce and Gabbana Fragrance Anthology, number 3- L'Imperatrice is perhaps the most unique, most feminine, sweetest scent in this unisex bunch. The scent itself is a bit of an enigma, with notes that lend themselves to the citrus, fruit, floral, and musk families.
On first spritz, the delicious scent of grapefruit asserts its dominance as the main note. This isn’t your everyday, overpowering citrus, but instead a woodsy kind of citrus that is less zingy and muskier, complimenting rather than overpowering the senses. The tang of the grapefruit is balanced by notes of watermelon, kiwi, and currant, all which give the scent a fresh sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm the senses as some fruit-based scents are wont to do. Floating underneath the surface I can distinguish subtle notes of wood, musk, and jasmine, which make the scent more interesting, more complex, and even more lust-worthy.
Dolce and Gabbana L'Imperatrice is the perfect scent for summer, one that I am completely and utterly obsessed with at the moment. A fruity citrus with hints of sandalwood and musk, L'Imperatrice commands your love and devotion. To whiff it yourself, be sure to stop in at your local department store or friendly neighborhood Sephora, and park yourself in front of that magical display. The scent on this flirty little number is divine, trust me on that.

I love, love, love this scent. It's sweet and feminine without being overly sugary or cloying. My only complaint is that it fades too quickly and needs to be reapplied.
Marilyn, agreed on all counts. I would love if they did this as a heavier edp.
