Make Up For Ever Metals
Glittering jewelry, foiled accessories, and now adornments for face and body. Molten metals are everywhere you look this season, but they are especially making a big splash on the cosmetics scene. Giving makeup fanatics (a group I may or may not be a part of) what they want, my beloved Now, Make Up For Ever has captured gold’s true essence in a brand new product that both delights and inspires. Say hello to the metal collection, a new line that will be making its way to Sephora stores for the holiday season.
Lucky me, for I have access to the products at the NYC boutique way before they launch at your typical Sephora store. The molten pots of golden goodness were available to purchase in store as of a few weeks ago.
Number 1 is the mama bear of the bunch, a true gold that puts every other gold metal powder that you have seen to shame. It isn’t yellow, orange, or green, but a true gold worthy of gracing the most discerning artist’s kit.
Number 2 is a brassy copper, heavy on the orange. Kind of like a penny, if you will.
Number 3 is a rose gold, light enough to be mistaken for a golden peach in certain lights. This is the most subtle of the shades in the collection.
Number 4 is an olive, green gold. It is a rich, metallic, slightly dirty shade.
Swatched L-R 1,2,3,4. Metal Khols in 6k and 7k in photos below
Not to be ignored, the metals collection also sees the launch of two brand new eye khols, the perfect compliment to the new metal powders. Both pencils glide on creamy, with just enough malleability to create both sharp lines, or intense, smudgy, smoky eyes. As khols, they do need to be set to ensure staying power, but the extra step is so worth it. These pencils are, in a word, stunning.
6k is a stunning true gold, with just the slightest hint of sparkle.
7k is blackest black with intense golden flecks throughout.
The Make Up For Ever Metals Collection will put any jewelry cabinet to shame with its stunning array of molten, gilded goodness. If you simply can’t wait until this comes to Sephora for the holidays, be sure to give the NYC boutique a call and see if they will ship it to you. It is worth it, you can trust me on that.
*I purchased all of the items mentioned in this post.

Thanks for the swatches Adina. =)
Btw, are the pigments swatched dry or foiled?

I have the metal #4 pigment and the black liner pencil. I've had them for a couple of months now and love them both. I actually wore the liner just the other day. Love mufe, love that I live in NJ and can easily get to the boutique and I love that you put so much focus on mufe. Keep up the good work.
Shontay, I am so thrilled that you love MUFEas much as I do. We are incredibly fortunate to have the access that we do.
And thank you!
Thank you for the swatches...we have a long wait till they hit Sephora..
Resham, you are very welcome! You can always call the boutique in NYC if you need them now ;)
