In this edition of random acts of swatching, allow me to introduce a brand that many of you have probably never even heard of. Mattese Elite as far as I know is only available at Ricky’s NYC. These products are a recent addition to my makeup collection, showcased at The Makeup Show.

Unsung Beauty Heroes- Ardell False Lashes

One of the things I have come to learn both in my own application experience, and with applying makeup on others, is that nothing has the ability to open up your eyes more than a pair of false eyelashes. Whether you are looking to accentuate what you already have, or to compensate for what you don't, falsies have the ability to make any girl feel like a glamour queen. I have been known to dish out the big bucks for the lash big-guns, but when I want to fringe out on the cheap, I always turn to Ardell.

Revitalash for Lashes that Reach New Heights

It is no secret that long, lush lashes are always a beauty "do." When asked what beauty item they can't live without, women will most likely answer with a makeup staple that rhymes with canberra. Lash extensions are on the rise, and falsies are every woman's going out staple. Clearly, having full lashes is kind of a big deal.

If you knew you could enhance your lashes naturally, you would jump on that wagon, right? Well folks, my second foray into the world of lash serums has led me (and as a result, you) to Revitalash. Thoroughly pleased with the volume I gained using Marini Lash, I sought to increase the length of my now-fuller fringe. Revitalash promised to do just that, and then some.

It applies the same as other lash enhancers, in that you paint a thin layer onto the base of the lashline every night before bed. Take care not to get it into your eyes, as it might cause irritation. It takes a commitment of at least 5 weeks, but the results are so completely worth it.

I started using this on Monday, August 31st. Here are the results from present day. Pictures don't lie, and here is the before and after:

I am really stunned by the results. Having been using this every single day for 6 weeks, I was a bit discouraged at the supposed lack of results. It wasn't until plucking my eyebrows and nearly plucking out an eyelash along with it that I stopped to really take a look at the results. While the Marini Lash contributed to the thickness and density of my lashes, Revitalash helped my lashes reach ridiculous new lengths. Color me incredibly impressed!

It is also worth mentioning that Revitalash supports Breast Cancer research. Jan Marini Lash- Eyelash Conditioner

We all want long, full, healthy-looking lashes right? I mean, if the eyes are the window to the soul, then the lashes are the curtains. Why have flimsy cotton drapes when you can have lush velvet? The richer the better.

We obviously aren't all born with full fringes, and many fake it however they can. Some go faux with falsies, messing with adhesive and tweezers. Others frantically look for that one perfect mascara that lifts and separates. Some turn to extensions, having an expert bond false lashes to their own. And lastly, some are turning to a new generation of lash enhancers, serums that purportedly cause an increase in lash density and length.

One such lash growth stimulator is Jan Marini lash, a lash conditioner formulated with peptides that are designed to both fortify lashes and stimulate an increase in thickness and length.

Keep in mind that I am not wearing any mascara in my pictures! Do you see the difference? Personally, I am noticing a significant increase in density and thickness. That is enough to convince me that this stuff works! There are other versions out there, but I am very happy with the results I got with this. I will keep you posted with pictures as I continue use, just so you can all see my progress!

Sure, its pricey, but I am convinced that Marini Lash works. It is available on MyJanMarini.com and retails for $160. The price is pretty much on par with other products of its caliber.

Every year, Shu Uemura releases a special limited collection of luxe couture lashes in avant garde styles. Appropriately called the Tokyo Lash Bar, these iconic collections have fashion and beauty junkies alike chomping at the bit to get their hands on them!

Well I have come across some snippets of information on this summer's upcoming release: Lashes in Nature. This collection doesn't disappoint, and includes feather, rainbow, and plumed lashes.

Playing up trends, and pushing the envelope; these lashes are absolutely gorgeous and sure to catch attention!
