As I embark on my journey into my second year of beauty blogging, I have decided to go ahead and give my blog a facelift. Welcome to the new look of Krasey Beauty!
I am in the process of adding a couple of elements, so bear with me on that. This post is all about feedback, so take a look around and please let me know what you think. The more specific the feedback, the better! The color scheme and background I left as is, since so many of you commented during the contest, telling me how much you loved the purple and pink. I have added categories, menus, and a few fun new features that I find incredibly excited. Hopefully, you find the site a bit easier to navigate.
Comment box is open, so please fire away! As a thank you for commenting, I will be giving away a bottle of Zoya Nail Polish in Adina to one lucky commenter next Friday!

New Year's Nails, Blog News, and Other Miscellany
Happy 2010 once more! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration, filled with revelry, laughter, and lots of fun! We are now all back on our daily grinds, which also means Krasey Beauty will resume with our regularly scheduled beauty programming. Just wanted to do a little weekend update post for you all before we hop back into the routine.
It was a rather low key New Year's eve for us, which unfortunately means I don't have an outfit and face of the day for you all. However, I do have a nail of the day look that I did all by myself. I wanted something blingy and festive, so of course I reached for my beloved Zoya Ultraglitter in Luna. My ring finger got a dose of OPI for Sephora in 212-Sephora, as well as decals by Fingrs.
I went to see Avatar over the weekend, which was an experience in and of itself. If this movie is the future of 3d movies, then I think we will all have a lot to be excited about. Since I am a dork, here is a picture of me rocking my superfly 3d shades.
The thing that really had me squealing in my seat and repeatedly beating up on my boyfriend was the trailer for Alice in Wonderland, also in 3d. I absolutely couldn't resist taking a quick picture of the display in the theater, which is absolutely gorgeous. March cannot come soon enough!
That is all that was new and exciting in my world. What did you do this past weekend?

Happy Birthdays!
Happy Birthday to my little monkey, Daniel, who turns ten years old today! We will be celebrating his special day in style this coming Saturday. Yay!
And a very Happy Birthday to my mom, who turned 62 yesterday. She is far too modest, and insisted we don't go out for her special day. Boooo Mama, boooo.

Site News, Awards, and I am in a Book!
We interrupt our regular posting schedule for a couple of news tidbits regarding Krasey Beauty.
First off, I am thrilled to announce that I have won this week's round of voting on the Glam UK Appletiser Awards. What that means is that I have the most votes this week, but that really is only half the battle. I am currently tied for seventh place, and desperately need your votes to help put me on top. All you need to do is visit the site, register with just your name and email address, and vote for the Holiday Beauty Gift Guide for Twi-hards article. Again, if you could do that
Second point of business, I am in a book! Your gal K.B has made it into Fabulous: All About 50+ Beauty Bloggers of 2010. I am so honored to be considered one of the top beauty bloggers, and even more thrilled to be listed amongst such esteemed peers . An ebook is currently available in downloadable pdf form on Lulu, but expect the hard copy to come to Amazon as soon as this month! If you do happen to purchase the ebook, please do let me know! I am waiting on the hard copy to come out, but am absolutely brimming with excitement over what is inside.
Last point of 'business', I want to thank all of you for being so amazing and wonderful. When I started this blog 10 months ago (today is the ten month anniversary!), I never imagined that Krasey Beauty would become what it is today. I hope you will continue to tune in daily, as I have so much fun stuff planned!

Krasey Beauty's Best of Summer Post Wrap Up
SourceI hope you all are enjoying our last official holiday of the summer. To recap, I wanted to spotlight all the posts that I felt stood this past summer. Think of it as a timeline of sorts.

The summer started off right, with a whole week dedicated to Make Up For Ever
My summer officially began with a trip to Montreal, lot of pictures ensued.
MAC started the summer off with a bang, and I swatched the full Colour Craft Collection
I got my girl power on with Purple Lab, both with an empowerment ritual, and with a burlesque lesson
I got in touch with my organic side with Revolution Organics
Smashbox Bionic was THE mascara of the summer
I took on the task of swatching all of the OCC loose pigments and glitter, lots of pictures resulted
I got a makeover, my hair changing experience at the Arrojo Salon
Krasey Beauty takes on Illamasqua, with a full week on Illamasqua coverage
Fall might be upon us, but the gorgeous collections from Make Up Designory, Christian Dior,
Smashbox, and La Prairie help ease the transition
The best looks to wrap up the summer, my Boston Trip Fotd's and Ootd's
These are the posts that stood out to me the most. Are there any posts that stand out in your mind? What would you like to see for fall here on Krasey Beauty?

The 'Dirty' Little Blog Award
I have been nominated for an award by none other than the amazing Sara of The Makeup SnobSo the rules with this award are:
List five current obsessions and pass the award on to five more fabulous blogs. On your post of receiving this award, make sure you include the person that gave you the award and link it back to them. When you post your five winners, make sure you link them as well.
To add the award to your post, simply right-click, save image, then “add image” in your post as a picture so your winners can save it as well. Also, don’t forget to let your winners know they won an award from you by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. First and foremost is the general topic of beauty, and of course my beauty blog. I am always on the hunt for the latest and greatest to share with all of you.
2. My new blackberry tour. I don't know how I lived without it, it is the new love of my life!
3. Sample Sales, I have been picking up the most amazing designer pieces at bargain prices. I love it!

5. Fall beauty. The newest collections from some of my favorites having me on the edge of my seat with excitement.
