Ethereal Glow By Way Of Dior Shimmer Star in Rose Diamond

Sometimes, you just need to indulge in something beautiful to make yourself feel beautiful both inside and out. Such was the notion behind my most recent Sephora purchase, the Dior Beauty Shimmer Star in Rose Diamond. Continuing further on my quest towards perfect (looking) skin, I turn to Mr Dior for my fix.

Lemming Granted, Dior Night Butterfly Quint Swatches & Review

Warning, this post is rated G for gratuitous palette photos and slow palette striptease. Serious stuff here, folks, you have been warned.

I had mentioned this delicious quint on my lemming list of this Wednesday past. Well, lets just say this palette was too gorgeous to be a lemming for too long. Failure to acquire this palette could have lead to dire circumstances.

Phew, that was intense . In all seriousness, this quint is my first from Dior, and probably not my last. Each and every color is silky smooth, richly pigmented, and absolutely decadent. The colors play so well together, and ccombined can create everything from a soft daytime neutral look to an intense smoked out eye. I am loving the mixture of matte and slight shimmer in the shades, for an overall grownup look and feel.

Of course I have swatches for you, because a picture of the palette simply isn't enough.

I think this palette is exceptional, and I am so thrilled to have it. Sally Bear thinks its special too, she is cuddling up with it as we speak. You can get yours at Sephora, Nordstrom, or any fine department store. Run, don't walk people. This baby is not to be missed!

La la la Lemmings

Time to torture myself a little and spotlight the items I am really wanting right now.

Dior Night Butterfly Quint- You know I love me some Purples, and this quad is purple heaven. I have never actually purchased a Dior quint, but I am thinking this might be my first.
Dior Plum Liquid Liner- More purple lovin'. This time, it is a gorgeous deep plum liquid liner in one of my absolute favorite delivery systems, the pen.

Nordstrom Exclusive Nars Loves San Francisco Set Is it wrong that I want this, just for the novelty and collector's factor? I am keeping fingers and toes crossed that NARS whips out a Nars Loves New York set.From Nars Fall 2009, Mekong- I originally thought this would be ridiculously similar to Galapagos, which I already have. I was wrong wrong wrong. Mekong is much darker, with strong red undertones to it. I think this would make an amazing fall smoky eye.

Nordstrom Annual Beauty Event

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I'm not talking about the holiday season, or even my birthday. It is actually time for Nordstrom’s annual sale and beauty event. Here is what has caught my eye:

Nars Modern Love Palette: This one is actually available online at narscosmetics.com, but you can also preorder this via the Nordstrom website. I absolutely ADORE my Nars holiday shadow palette, so I know this one must come home with me as well. Colors included are Alhambra I, Tokyo I, Jezebel II, India Song II, Habanera II, and Pandora II

Dior Jazz Club Eye Palette: Housed in a sleek little compact, this palette looks like it has the eyes covered with everything from a brow shade to a duo-chromatic topcoat. I especially love the smoky, sultry feel to the shades housed within this hot little number.

Phyto Dry Hair Collection: It is no secret that the curly mess on top of my head is also a very dry/frizzy mess at times. I have used Phyto before and loved how moisturizing it was and how it made my hair feel like silk. The value and combination of products in this kit is phenomenal, and I just might take this one home with me.
