Crazy Libellule for Valentine's Day

For a fun fragrance gifting option for the big day, Crazy Libellule and the Poppies does not disappoint.

I have quickly become a huge fan of Crazy Libellule's solid fragrance sticks. With tons of delicious scents to choose from, the ultra-portable scent sticks layer beautifully and last on the skin. For Valentine's day, they have put together a trio of scents that capture the mood.

Vanilla Pom d'Amour combines red fruit, vanilla, and rum. The scent to me captures the essence of youthful flirtation.
Chère Louise is a woodsy, musky, spicy rose. Components include rose, patchouli, saffron, storax, combining to create a scent that is sexy without being too overpowering. I kind of picture this one on my single ladies who are on the prowl.
In Love is a light, playful floral with rose, berry, vanilla, and musk. This one is the youngest of the three, and also the most playful.

For Valentine's day, Crazy Libellule brings the cute and flirty out in all of us with their wonderful set of three crazy sticks. Whether you are happily involved, or sexy and single, this kit has all the scents you need to have yourself some olfactory fun. As with all of the crazy sticks, these are alcohol, paraben, and artificial coloring free.

Holiday Beauty Gift Guide- Lola by Marc Jacobs

Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets...

The newest scent addition to the Marc Jacobs perfume family, Marc Jacobs Lola is a floral scent with hints of rose, geranium, and warm vanilla. The opening notes are crisp and slightly citrus, while the dry down is all musky floral. The bottle is a beautiful shade of deep purple, with an elaborate plastic flower adorning the gilded cap. This bottle looks as beautiful on your dresser as the fragrance smells on the skin. For me, this scent was love at first sniff. Fortunately, there is a new addition to the Lola family that is sure to make a wonderful gift as well.

Combining my love of chunky cocktail rings with this amazing scent, the Lola Solid Perfume Ring was love at first sight, too. It comes in the adorable little leather pouchette that you see above.

The top of this ring matches the gorgeous flower on top of the perfume's bottle, and slides on a hinge to reveal the solid perfume within.

You can find Marc Jacobs Lola at Sephora, but the Lola Solid Perfume Ring is a Sephora Beauty insider exclusive. Lola really does make the perfect gift to share or receive, and I know that I will happily enjoy both the fragrance and the ring for a long, long time.

Fun Fragrance Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies

Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies

New for winter 2009, are the Snow Bunny counterparts to the original Harajuku Lovers fragrance line. Love, Angel, Music, Baby, and G have undergone makeovers for those oh so chilly winter months, and, being one who loves to bundle up in the cold, I love seeing these perfume dollies dressed like me.

Baby brings the cuteness, and the soft scent of powder and flowers. While it isn't usually a scent I gravitate towards, it is one that I am growing to love. I have taken to using this post shower, just because I can. ;)

Harajuku Lovers fragrances are available at Sephora. Take advantage of the friends and family sale, and snag one (or all) for 20% off!

Have you tried the Harajuku line of fragrances? If so, which one is your favorite?

Soap and Paper Factory

Our post begins with a tragic story:

Once upon a time, my mother had an original, gilded bottle of Must de Cartier II. She loved that perfume, and treasured it among her collection of scents.
One day, along came the big, bad, monster of destruction that decided the perfume would make a fine accompaniment to my mother's bedding. He proceeded to play with the pretty bottle, and spill it all over my parent's bed.

It goes without saying that my mother was devastated, and the little one (above, my older nephew, who is currently 17) got a sharp scolding.

Where am I going with all of this? First off, let it be warning not to trust a little boy around expensive bottles of perfume, no matter how adorably harmless said little boy looks. Two, liquid perfumes are very fragile, and therefore definitely not travel friendly. Soap and Paper Factory has the perfect alternative to the liquid scent, in it's ultra portable, all-natural solid perfume collection.

Soap and Paper Factory is a brand with nature in mind. Each solid fragrance is blended with pure jojoba and beeswax, in an adorable mini container a go-go. Rounding out the list of pluses, these fragrances are free of parabens, phthalates, and petrochemicals. You can rest assured that when you dab some on key pulse points, you are actually doing your body good.

Orange Blossom is a crisp, deep floral with citrus notes, Green Tea is a subtle citrus with slight floral hints, and Rosewood is an earthy citrus. These scents are perfect for mixing, creating a plethora of scent combinations. It deserves mentioning that you may have to reapply with these scents, as a lack of preservatives gives them slightly less lasting power than your traditional parfums. Not a big deal in the long run, since these are so portable that stashing them in your bag isn't a problem.

Of the three scents that I have, Rosewood has definitely become my favorite. A little bit citrus, a tiny bit earthy, this scent really revs my engines, and has become a purse staple.

I highly recommend Soap and Paper Factory, as it is the perfect melding of convenience and quality. Perfect for travel, and completely lil'-monster proof, these perfumes go the distance. They are available at Plaza Beauty by Warren Tricomi.

Heaven's Alchemy Takes You on a Scent Tour of the World- Plus, A Giveaway!

I don't blog much about perfume, only because I find scent preferences to be so subjective. However, when I find something I absolutely adore, I feel it is my obligation to share with all of you. I have recently fallen in love with Heaven's Alchemy, an all-natural line of perfume oils that draws upon specific locations all over the world for it's scent inspiration. Exceptional products should not go unnoticed, and with 13 scents to choose from, this fabulous line will take you around the world to please even the most discerning of noses.

All products in the Heaven's Alchemy line are free of oils, dyes, and other harsh chemical ingredients. They are also not tested on animals, making them an environmentally conscious choice.

Last but not least, the perfume sampler:

I truly do adore them all, but if you had to ask me my personal favorite, it would have to be Paris. There is just something so feminine and mysterious about that particular scent. My mom prefers the musky, fruity notes of Kyoto.

Heaven's Alchemy perfume sampler, along with the rest of the line, is available on the website here. I highly recommend stopping by the site, having a look around, and choosing the scent that speaks to you.

Here comes the fun part: I am giving you the chance to win your very own sampler, right here on Krasey Beauty. Signature Scents

Now you know what I am talking about. That one perfume that you always go back to, the one you can't get enough of. It turns heads, gets compliments, and drives your significant other wild. Almost everyone has a signature scent.

For me it has got to be Very Irresistible Sensual by Givenchy.
I have tried the original eau de toilette, the eau de parfum (called sensual), 2 different summer incarnations, and the 2006 special edition.

Notes in this one include Rose, Verbena, Star Anise, Vanilla, and Patchouli. The combination results in a sexy floral scent.

Just finished bottle 5. Contemplating Summer Sorbet next.

What is your signature scent?
