So who caught the inspiring Question and Answer session just now with Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper for MAC's Viva Glam?
I will try to get a transcript of the session somehow, but until then I want to reiterate just how important it is to raise AIDS awareness. Please check out the new Viva Glam lipsticks- Gaga and Cyndi. Every single cent of sales proceeds go to the MAC Aids fund.
For those who missed it, but want to see what Cyndi and Gaga wore, here you go:
And as Cyndi herself said, Viva Glam, Viva Life

MAC VIVA GLAM with LADY GAGA and Cindy Lauper
Viva Glam is a line of lipsticks that need no introduction. 100% of sales proceeds go directly to the MAC AIDS fund, and that is something we can all get behind.
On that same note, the ladies you see above need no introduction. Both Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper are music icons, and gorgeous to boot. They are lending their images to two brand new Viva Glam limited edition lipsticks, launching today! Cyndi is a red lustre, while Gaga is a medium pink lustre.
Fun Fact: Lady Gaga rocked the shade during her amazing Grammy performance!
Help support the MAC AIDS fund, and purchase Viva Glam. Supporting a great cause has never looked more glamorous.

Illamasqua and The Sophie Foundation
For those of you who haven't heard of Sophie Lancaster, allow me to take a moment to bring her story to your attention. The video below was made in the memory of one courageous young lady whose life was ended abruptly due to hatred and prejudice. Please watch the video, and support this noble cause.
In August 2007, Sophie Lancaster was kicked to death, simply for dressing differently. Two years on, and in tribute to the outgoing, bubbly girl who was denied the chance to live life her way, cult new British make-up brand Illamasqua has commissioned a short film by award-winning French director, Fursy Teyssier.
Produced by creative agency Propaganda, in association with iconic British band, Portishead, Dark Angel is a beautifully haunting rendition of Sophie's story.
The aim of the film is to raise awareness of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation and generate £500,000 to help educate young people about tolerance. Since Sophie's death, we've been working with behavioural experts Huthwaite International, to put together an interactive youth workshop that does just that.
But this essential education programme can only be delivered with your help.
Please, please show your support watch the film and make a donation.
Were hoping to reach over 1,000,000 hits, so forward the link and help us spread the message. If you have your own website, blog, Facebook, MySpace or You Tube page, or a Twitter profile, please display a link to the film. For added impact, download a specially designed web banner at www.illamasqua.com/sophie/ now.
As well as being available to view online, the film will also be running for a week on MTV from 26th November Sophie's birthday.
Stand up for Sophie act now and buy an Illamasqua Sophie pencil, wristband or make a donation.
Together, well help stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance everywhere.

Shopping for the Cause- Children's Aid Society's Miracle on Madison
Every now and then, an announcement for a great cause happens to find its way into my inbox. That was the case today, with an email I received about a shopping event called 'Miracle on Madison', sponsored by the Children's Aid Society.
This holiday season, we all want to treat ourselves to something special -- maybe some new jewelry, a chic pair of shoes or that "must-have" toy for the kids...
But what if your wishes could make a REAL difference, not just in your own home, but in the lives of children who need a lot more than just a new toy? If you had that kind of magic at your fingertips... what would YOU wish for?
Well, now you do.
Join us for the Miracle on Madison, a shopping extravaganza, on December 6, 2009 from 12-5 pm to fulfill your wish list and ours. The Children’s Aid Society will receive 20% of the day's proceeds from all participating stores, and that money will provide vital health services to the under-served children in NYC!
Plus, before December 6, visit our blog on the Miracle on Madison page and let us know what your REAL holiday wish list would look like (http://blogs.
This holiday season, help your gifts go just a little farther. Save the Date and Save a Child.
I do hope my fellow New Yorkers will try to make it out there, and shop for a great cause. :)

More Beauty For The Cause
This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Three Custom Color announces the introduction of Be Bright Pink Lip Gloss, an exclusive shade created to support Bright Pink, a national non-profit organization that provides education and support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. 20% of sales generated by the purchase of Be Bright Pink Lip Gloss will be donated to support Bright Pink’s mission to help women proactively take control of their health via education, support and community development for those at risk. To learn more about this amazing charity, log on to www.bebrightpink.org.Be Bright Pink Lip Gloss is a sheer carnation pink with a silver satin finish, designed to flatter all skin tones. You can purchase Be Bright lipgloss on the Three Custom color website. The color is permanent, and Three Custom will continue to donate a portion of the sales of Be Bright Pink Lip Gloss to Bright Pink for years to come.
September was ovarian cancer awareness month, and L’Oréal Paris brought light to the issue with the Color of Hope Makeup Collection.
Ovarian Cancer affects more than 22,000 women a year. By knowing the sign & symptoms women can help protect themselves and their loved ones from this disease. Unfortunately, there is currently no adequate early detection method for ovarian cancer, which makes the cause more compelling than ever.
The L’Oréal Paris Color of Hope Makeup Collection is every bit as inspiring, on-trend and fashion-forward, as it is hopeful. Featuring products for eyes, lips and nails, the collection teams up three shades: universally flattering shade of mauve, vibrant teal– the color symbolizing ovarian cancer awareness–and the on-trend accent shade of rich plum. L’Oréal Paris will donate $1.00 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund from the sale of each item in the Color of Hope Cosmetics Collection. The collection is available now at mass-market retailers nationwide or at lorealcolorofhope.com
For more information, visit the Color of Hope website.
More beauty for the cause as it comes up. For now, tell me, which causes are important to you?
