And thus my journey towards optimal physical fitness continues. Once again, it is all about exercising on the sly. I have lamented over my cottage cheese toned physique many times, and in my quest towards eradicating that rather unfortunate situation, I have stumbled upon gold. The MBT sneaker is kind of, sort of, rocking my world.
There is a certain beauty in invention, especially when science gives us the tools that will help us achieve our goals in the least painful way possible. MBT shoes are the newest weapon in the war against cellulite and flabbiness. They are the pioneers in the world of fitness footwear, the first ones to create a sneaker that tones your butt and thighs as you go about your business walking to and fro.

Beautiful Technology, The HTC Droid Incredible
When it comes to beauty, why stop at the products we use to enrich mind, body, and soul? Beauty should trickle into, around, and through each and every aspect of life, especially into the technology that we use to communicate, listen, and to essentially express ourselves. Enter the HTC Droid Incredible, the newest in a breed of smartphones that blows every other handheld device out of the water. Gone is my generic brick-like Blackberry, and in its place is a sleek, chic, and sexy new Droid Incredible.

Of Magical Meals and Buddakan NYC
There are two things of which I am absolutely certain. The first being that my name is Adina, the second being that I consider myself extremely lucky to have been born and raised in a city so rich with culture, opportunities, and gourmet food haunts that would make any connoisseur weep with joy. In this post, allow me to weave a tale of culinary delights of the Pan-Asian variety, come to life at Chelsea’s very own gem- Buddakan.
Having found myself in the city with my one-and-only, we embarked on a journey downtown to experience what can only go down in the record books as a legendary meal.
Upon entering the restaurant, one cannot help but be sucked into the lively atmosphere, thrumming with the pulse of the city. On this particular early Saturday evening, we admired some of the city’s most beautiful people just hanging out by the grand bar while sipping on designer cocktails and catching up with their favorites. My boyfriend and I checked in and were immediately led through the happening bar area on the first floor to the much quieter, more intimate sub-level. As we settled into the cushy seats in the beautiful, dimly lit dining area, we knew we were in for something special.
Our waiter, Tony warmly greeted us, and then proceeded to explain the restaurant’s culinary philosophy and influences. Perusing the menu, we were presented with more options than our hungry selves could handle. With Tony as our guide, we made several selections that were subsequently brought out not only quickly, but perfectly pleasing in the visual sense. Clearly, this is food meant to engage all the senses, even as the flavors so expertly put together made our palates sing.
Drinks
Sake for him, and a “Lush” for me, which was a blend of sake, gin, lychee, and rosemary. I have never had that combination before, but I rather did like it.
Appetizers:
Steamed Savory Vegetable Dumplings
With delicate wrappers and perfectly seasoned, crisp diced vegetables, these dumplings were perfection.
Sea Bass Roll, wrapped in Napa cabbage and topped with julienned ginger
Complimenting our dumplings, the cabbage wrapped sea bass roll was both tender and delectable. The julienned ginger slaw gracing the top gave the dish a bit of a zing.
Entrees
Charred Filet of Beef with Wonton Crisps and Mustard Sauce
Now I am not one to partake in red meat, but my boyfriend is most certainly a fan. As a trained chef, he has tasted the finest cuts of beef from Kobe to Filet Mignon. For him to be wowed by a filet says a lot, and wowed he was as he closed his eyes and savored the perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked fillet.
Dungeness Crab Stick Rice with x.o Sauce
There are no words for how insanely good this stick rice was. It was presented in an empty crab shell, with large chunks of Dungeness crab throughout.
Glazed Alaskan Black Cod with Eggplant and Black Bean Relish
The perfect portion of buttery, flaky fish had a deliciously sweet sear to it. The relish was OMG good.
Unfortunately, we were both so stuffed post-meal that we didn’t have any rooms in our distended abdomens for dessert. Ah, to have eyes bigger than one’s stomach.
All in all, Buddakan afforded us two foodies (one of us being a chef, no less!) with the most exceptional meal we can both remember having. With a chic and sexy atmosphere, vittles that are out-of-this-world delicious, and a staff that is so friendly and attentive that you want to instantly be-friend them all, Buddakan is a huge restaurant WIN.
If you are an out-of-towner looking for an amazing culinary experience, or a native who hasn’t yet been, you simply have to go to Buddakan, the end.

Sculpt Like an Egyptian with Banglz
It is no secret that I am struggling to get my flabby tuchus in gear, and I am not ashamed to ask for a little bit of help when it is so clearly needed. Being so out of touch with the fitness world, my body has gone from being my temple to being my marshmallow.
The marshmallow man ain't got nothing on me.
I am on my way towards better eating, so I am good to go in that regard. Healthy diet in place, its time for me to find ways to tone up and sculpt my shape without sacrificing too much time. This is where Banglz come into play.
Bangles are small, light weights that you simply strap on to either wrists or ankles to add a bit of resistance as you go about your everyday activities. They give you that little something extra, but they are also amazing at boosting cardio exercises to the point where they also contribute to muscle tone. They are not bulky, wear comfortably, and are available in a full range of stylish pattern sleeves that makes them quite cute if I do say so myself.
I have been using these on my wrists during my DDR sessions, and also keep these on hand in the office for quick tone breaks throughout the day. I love them for their inconspicuousness, and for the way they enhance my overall fitness experience.
For an easy way to add toning to your everyday routine, Banglz rock the house, and your body.

Borba Beauty Bears Bring the Gummy Noms
Beauty mavens in the know just know, external radiance is a process that begins on the inside. The beauty industry is just now catching on to the concept of edible skincare supplements, and it is Borba that is the forerunner, having captured my heart with their delicious Beauty Bears.

Sculptz Yourself Thin
Ladies and gents of the blogsophere, I am about to do something that I hardly ever do- condone cheating. Not cheating on a test, but a different sort of cheating of the fitness variety.
Sometimes we all need a bit of help when getting ready for a big night out. For me, I really needed it after overindulging in birthday treats and then realizing I would have to wear something of the form fitting variety for another big night out. My savior fortunately came in the form of a package from Sculptz, and I swear I might have heard angels singing above when I put these slimming tights on.
Sculptz is an awesome line of shapewear designed to compress, tuck, trim, and lift in all the right places. The tights have built in elastic panels that are angled and positioned to give maximum slimming benefits. Sculptz also shape without being super restricting, so I didn't have to hem and haw while trying to pull them up somewhere they won't go. There are tons of options to choose from, whether you are looking for tights (sheers, opaques), or shapewear (camis, capris). I went with basic sheer black for my big night out, but could have easily opted for any other style.
Of course I looked svelte all night, even if I didn't feel it. I think I have a new addiction, and its name is Scultpz. They are effective, chic, and most importantly comfortable, and I highly recommend them.

Spring Shape Up- underWAY
It pains me to say this, but I have definitely been lax on the weight watching thing lately.
Between events, outings, and blogging like it is my job, I just don't have the time or energy to devote to watching my weight as I am usually wont to do. No more though, as I am shouting that enough is enough, and making the time to get myself back to myself. Time to get back on track, and with that in mind I want to introduce a shape up series here on krasey beauty.
The first step for me is to slowly step away from the snacks, and towards that end I have been turning to Under-Way drink supplements. Packed with vitamins, and something called HeroFiber™, these drinks are designed to curb hunger while providing you with beneficial fibers. I myself always steer clear of diet drinks for fear of messing with something unnatural, but have found myself pleasently surprised by the results of drinking these. My favorite flavor is Grape, which tastes great on ice.
If you are looking for a drink to curb hunger pangs and keep you away from snacks, Under-Way is a great option. These are available online, by the case.
Who else is finding themselves in need of a shape-up? What works to control your hunger?

Weekend Getaway- Mohegan Sun
This past weekend, my boyfriend and I packed our bags and brought a couple of friends along for a mini getaway to Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. While none of us really won big, we did have ourselves a wonderful time.

Epic Dining Destinations- Country Pancake House in Ridgewood New Jersey
Ladies and Gents of the blogosphere, I have discovered gourmet gold in the unlikeliest of places: New Jersey. The story goes a little something like this:
Boyfriend (BF) comes over to spend some quality time with his still ailing girlfriend (GF)
BF and GF ponder their Saturday afternoon entertainment possibilities
GF reminds BF about that special they saw on the Travel Channel about restaurants they need to visit
GF convinces BF that Saturday is a good day for pancakes
and away they go
It was a Saturday afternoon like any other, in which my boyfriend and I explored the state next door. A trip to the mall left me with two gorgeous new Chanel Rouge Coco's (more on that in a bit), a few new items of clothing (shhh, don't tell), and a monster appetite for something delicious. Our appetites led me (and him) to the Country Pancake House in Ridgewood NJ, a culinary house of epic proportions (and portions).

New York Fashion Week Media Mixer
Fashion Week may have revolved around the Tents and Milk Studios, but the hottest party actually happened downtown, at ION Studio in NYC. Lianne of The Makeup Girl and Paul of Beyond Beauty Basics joined forces once more to throw one kick-butt mixer with over 200 in attendance.

Fashion Week Hair Makeover with Redken and Cutler Salon
So what do you do when fashion week is fast approaching, and your hair is two-toned and looking an absolute fright? Why you go to the experts, and get yourself a fabulous hair makeover in time for the big day.
Desperate for a change, I sent out a distress call asking my peers their thoughts on the best salons in the city. In those answers, I heard of a place designed to turn dead-looking hair (see above) right round into extraordinary hair. A sleek and modern space right in Midtown that is cool, comfortable, and bursting at the seams, chock-full of talented people. I was convinced, and I answered my hair's s.o.s by running (not walking) to Redken and the Cutler Salon in New York City. In just two short hours, my hair looked Red Carpet worthy, and I left feeling over-the-moon in love with both my new look and my experience.
To watch the transformation, take the jump!
